Barbara de Menezes Galante was born in Sao Paulo (Brazil) in 1990. As she comes from a family of musicians, she came in contact with classical music very early. The group holds a special residence in Vienna, performing monthly in the baroque hall of the former Vienna City Hall, today known as "Bank Austria Kultursalon".  As passionate chamber musicians, independent from any contracts with orchestras, the quartet strives to not only explore the extensive quartet repertoire, but also to present their unique voice within the music. The Auner Quartett, compromised of violinists Daniel and Barbara Auner, violist Nikita Gerkusov, and cellist Konstantin Zelenin, has performed recitals in various venues such as; Schubertiade Schloss Atzenbrugg, Schlosskonzerte Walpersdorf, Festival Allegro Vivo, the MuTh, the Albertina, the Schlosskonzerte Maria Enzersdorf, the Sommerkonzerte Wienerwald (Austria); the MozArt Festival (Switzerland); University of Udine (Italy); Bing Concert Hall (Stanford, USA); Theatro Nacional and the Fundação Eva Klabin (Brasilia | Rio de Janeiro, Brazil); the Vienna Concert Series (London, UK); the "Salonkonzerte" (Budapest, Hungary); the International Chamber Music Festival (Polotsk, Belarus); the Istanbul Music Festival (Turkey); the Gauteng Chamber Music Festival (Pretoria, South Africa) and many others. In addition, the group has collaborated with symphony orchestras for String Quartet Concertos by e.g. Louis Spohr and has been featured repeatedly live on TV (ORF, GLOBO) and Radio Stations (ORF Ö1 and Radio Klassik- Austria, TRT-Turkey, Radio Cultura-Brasil). The Quartet is part of the ECMA, European Chamber Music Academy.
